POPULAR QUESTIONS

  • What is the Difference Between Wheel Alignment and Wheel Balancing?

Wheel alignment and wheel balancing are not the same service or procedure. Both are important to the condition of your tyres in the long term. However, alignment and balancing are two very different things. Where wheel balancing corrects the distribution of weight around each wheel, wheel alignment adjusts each wheel so that it sits at the optimal angle to the road and in relation to every other wheel on the vehicle.

  • What are the Benefits of Wheel Alignment?

When you have your wheels aligned professionally, you can expect the following benefits: increased fuel efficiency, improvements to vehicle safety, a reduction in expensive repairs, smoother driving and increased tyre life.

  • Do you have to get wheel alignment with new tyres?

It is always strongly advised to have your wheels aligned, when new tyres are fitted. This is because the wheels are being removed from the car anyway. Though a tyre fitter may seem to be upselling their services to you, they are not. Aligning the wheels while having newly fitted tyres will give those tyres the best chance of a long working life by avoiding premature wear caused by wheel misalignment.
